1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using UtilsToGo ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

UtilsToGo provides micro-utility APIs including URL shortening, QR code generation, text processing, and related developer tools. The Service is accessible via REST API, MCP (Model Context Protocol), and a web interface.

3. Account Registration

You must provide a valid email address and verify it to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and API keys. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Create short URLs pointing to malware, phishing, or illegal content
• Circumvent usage limits through multiple accounts
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the Service infrastructure
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Distribute spam or unsolicited communications

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

5. Service Tiers and Pricing

The Service offers Free, Starter, and Pro tiers with different usage limits. Paid tier pricing and limits are displayed on the Pricing page and may change with 30 days' notice. Usage beyond tier limits will result in requests being rejected (HTTP 429).

6. API Keys

API keys grant access to the Service on your behalf. You are responsible for all activity conducted through your API keys. Do not share API keys publicly. Compromised keys should be revoked immediately from your Account page.

7. Data and Privacy

Your use of the Service is governed by our Privacy Policy. We process data in accordance with the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018.

8. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of content you create using the Service (URLs, data). The Service itself, including its design, code, and branding, is the intellectual property of UtilsToGo.

9. Availability and Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We are not liable for any damages arising from service interruptions or data loss.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, UtilsToGo shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from your Account page. We may terminate or suspend accounts for violations of these terms. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms with 30 days' notice via email. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
